Christmas activity (third, fourth and fifth grades)

With the last three classes of Primary, we decided to construct and play a game based on the german "Quartet". We choosed eight words related to Christmas and then made cards with that words written in all the SWALS languages (Dutch, German, Greek, Portuguese and Spanish). The goal of the game was to get all the five cards of each word.

During the game, students would ask for the cards using the word in the language they wanted (if they wanted the Christmas tree in spanish, they should ask: Do you have "árbol de navidad"?)

With this activity we wanted the students to share their language, and get to know the language of the others, in a relaxed, funny but always pedagogical way.
